Welcome to the 2025 Poodle Club of America Preview Issue!
Hold on to your hats—this issue is brimming with excitement! As we count down to the Poodle Club of America’s grand event, we are thrilled to introduce this year’s esteemed show judges, sharing a glimpse into their backgrounds and expertise.
But that’s just the beginning!
Prepare to be wowed by the remarkable achievements of our dedicated Poodle community. This special edition showcases the 2024 Top Poodle statistics across multiple categories, including Breeders, Sires, Dams, Top 20 Poodles, Top Owner-Handlers, and the elite competitors in Agility/MACH.
We are also honored to present exclusive interviews with two of the most respected preservation breeders in the breed: Cynthia Huff of Safari Standard Poodles and Leslie Newing of Randomwind Miniature Poodles. Their insights and experience are invaluable to the future of Poodle breeding and excellence.
In the spirit of inclusion and expanding our community, we welcome John Pittman’s reflections on his “Gladystar Road Show” journey, highlighting his experiences in both agility and conformation competition across the country.
Additionally, we are proud to highlight the Junior Handling Program and celebrate the passion, dedication, and skill of young handlers who represent the future of our breed. Their commitment and love for Poodles shine in the ring, and we are delighted to support their journey.
Expanding our global perspective, this issue also brings exciting Poodle updates from Australia, showcasing ANKC breeder for this month (Nov 24) Melody Benton.
On a personal note, I extend my heartfelt thanks to our advertisers, contributors, and authors, as well as our in-house designer, Mark Martinez, whose creativity continues to bring this publication to life. A special note of gratitude goes to Chris Baker, whose guidance and dedication during this transition have been invaluable.
